Discussions with Moroccan Ministry of Health representatives

After a successful visit of ODM’s leadership to Morocco in July 2022 and subsequent discussions, a followup meeting was convened  in Rabat on November 28th with the representatives and consultants of Morocco’s Ministry of Health, including from the field of health systems digitization . ODM’s professional team briefed the distinguished members of the Moroccan delegation about various aspects of ODM’s platform and its contributive edge on a national level, and discussed the implementation stages required for its implementation in the Moroccan healthcare system.

Prof. Avi Porath, ODM’s Medical Director and an expert in quality assurance in healthcare services, presented the importance of activating data for managing quality indicators in the healthcare systems. ODM platform data modeling and data management capabilities facilitate planning a custom designed National Disease Management Strategy using National Quality Indicators.

ODM’s national healthcare data platform will connect citizens and medical facilities data from both major cities and rural communities, implementing strong data collection from national sources in advanced reporting tools, that will allow the country to fast track innovative population health solutions, easily put national strategies in place and drastically improve the quality of care across the country.

Maor Cohen, ODM’s CTO, gave an overview of the system architecture and the platform’s AI and data management capabilities. He described how the healthcare information will be collected and unified on a single integrative and interoperable platform, implementing international standards while maintaining the security and anonymity of the data.

Dr. Millie Kaplan Ben-Ari presented the “Optima Stroke” case study and showed how existing information can be actionable in different levels from physician to government, and how, by curating, managing, and interpreting medical information, can deliver life-saving medical insights.

Implementing ODM’s platform on a national level will support national healthcare strategies and clinical outcomes, and strengthen the capacity to formulate and evaluate evidence-based policies and plans.
